The New Harmony Alumni Association has designed a Century of Smile weekend of celebration is observance of the 100th anniversary of the Association. You are encouraged to mark your calendars and make necessary arrangements to come for the weekend. Activities begin on Friday evening and end Sunday evening. It is hoped that all events will be well-attended. A large number of alumni have worked to make this weekend a memorable time for all yet keep the expense minimal for the participants. That would not have been possible without the support of the merchants and organizations throughout New Harmony. A flyer of information for events is included in this mailing. Many of the events are designed for alumni, family, and friends. A special spouse dinner will be held at the same time as the banquet this year. Free tours of Historic New Harmony sites are being offered. Please not the registration sheet for the other events. Complete the registration and return it with your reservations and payment.
The year the banquet will be held in the Riberye Gym. New restrooms and air conditioning will be completed in time. Last year's Fund-a-Need auction raised approximately half of the money necessary for air conditioning. Another auction will be held at this year's event or you can make your donation for air conditioning when you send your reservations. Just mark the form in the appropriate area and indicate the amount. One check for all may be written to the New Harmony Alumni Association.
You are being asked to bring copies of pictures to share as a giant collage of NHS memories is created for viewing throughout the weekend. You will be given opportunities to meet for an extended social hour at the Riberye Gym starting at 4:00 on Saturday. You can dig out that horn or warm up the vocal cords for a fun evening to see what you remember from band or choir. Enjoy the parade and bring the family to Murphy Park for a Taste of New Harmony picnic. Reminisce with former teachers and staff. Thumb through Jesters at WMI. Bring your scrapbooks and photo albums. Join the alumni led church service. What great memories to smile about!!
The dinner will be held at Riberye Gym this year. The evening is designated as a Dress Like A Rappite event. Dig out any vintage or contemporary Rappite attire and wear it to the dinner. Class jackets, letter sweaters, and or a honor jackets would be great.

'We Will All Remember'
"The portals we enter at the start of our day. The classroom, the staircase, the corridors. The athletic field. The voices, the faces, the places, times and events.
Ever changing, never the same and ever new...our scene is exciting and alive.
The building, teachers, students. Friends, loyalties, victories and defeats...things dear to us. They are here now, and a moment later gone. It is our Panorama......and it will live on in our memory."
An excerpt from the 1963 Jester
